It was a good run, but Newport Harbor unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Edison Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Sailors have suffered since March 12th.

While Newport Harbor was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Edison's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.

Newport Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Edison, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Newport Harbor is set to face off against their familiar foe Corona del Mar at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Edison will challenge rival Marina at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
