Basketball Recap: Grace Deschaaf's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Payson over Snowflake

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Payson couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 49-37 to the Snowflake Lobos on Saturday. The Longhorns' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Payson's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace DeSchaaf, who posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Tatum Mcdowell was another key player, putting up five points.

Payson's defeat dropped their record down to 27-7. As for Snowflake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Payson nor Snowflake have any future games scheduled.
