Softball Recap: Jackson Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Jackson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets by a score of 7-4 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Polar Bears, who have now won four contests in a row.

Courtney Helle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabbi Williamson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since May 7th. Another player making a difference was Emma Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Jackson's win bumped their record up to 21-7-1. As for Perrysburg, they moved to 27-2 with that loss, which also ended their 26-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Jackson nor the Yellow Jackets have any future games scheduled.
