Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cherokee Bluff walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on four straight.

Makayla Couch paced Cherokee Bluff's offense, picking up 15 kills. Couch got some help from Bella Sweet and her 29 assists. Kailyn Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Cherokee Bluff's win bumped their record up to 31-13. As for Academy of Richmond County, they moved to 35-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Coming up, Cherokee Bluff will face off against Whitewater on Wednesday. Academy of Richmond County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
