Volleyball Recap: Greenfield/Northwestern Gets the Win

Greenfield/Northwestern won the last time they faced Pleasant Hill and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wolves. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Greenfield/Northwestern never let Pleasant Hill on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23.

Lakely Albrecht paced Greenfield/Northwestern's offense, picking up seven kills. Albrecht got some help from Gracin Costello and her ten assists. Jaylynn Pitchford and Annabeth Thornton kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Greenfield/Northwestern now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Pleasant Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Greenfield/Northwestern will head out to take on Pittsfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pleasant Hill, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Griggsville-Perry on the 1st.
