Basketball Recap: Centennial Piles Up the Points Against Lake City Community

Centennial entered their tilt with Lake City Community on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Lake City Community 14ers 63-15. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-4.

Centennial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reina Aguilera, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 18 boards. Aguilera has become a key player for Centennial: the team is 4-1 when she posts at least eight rebounds, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Anai Medina, who posted 24 points along with five boards and five steals.

Centennial smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 45 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Centennial's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.0 points over those games.
