Baseball Recap: Florida State University High School Comes Up Short

Florida State University High School lost against Franklin County back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Florida State University High School Seminoles fell just short of the Franklin County Seahawks by a score of 3-2. The Seminoles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Florida State University High School got a good showing from Brayden Wood, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wood has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Brayden Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Zach Tubbs also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
