Basketball Recap: Crossroads Christian Academy Drops Season-High Score on North Georgia Christian Academy

Crossroads Christian Academy hadn't done well against North Georgia Christian Academy recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Crossroads Christian Academy skirted past the North Georgia Christian Academy Knights 60-57. Crossroads Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, North Georgia Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luke Beaver went 13 for 28 on his way to 36 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. Beaver's evening made it 27 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Roland, who posted nine points.

Crossroads Christian Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for North Georgia Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Philadelphia Christian School the next time they take the court. North Georgia Christian Academy will host Philadelphia Christian School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Crossroads Christian Academy will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
