Basketball Recap: Aiden Jaglal @Aiden.Jaglal's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Legacy over Morningside Academy

The Legacy Lions came up short against the Morningside Academy Eagles (Eddy) on Saturday and fell 64-56. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Legacy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aiden Jaglal @Aiden.Jaglal, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Reyes @WoahhhCaleb, who posted 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morningside Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than AJ Chang, who shot 63% from the field en route to 26 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Chang's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jaiven Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Legacy and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Morningside Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Legacy and Somerset College Prep Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morningside Academy will take on Calvary Chapel Academy in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
