Softball Recap: Sprague Olympians vs. Aloha Warriors
Sprague was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-7 to the Aloha Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 on Tuesday.
Brooklyn Bakke led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Annie Gunia was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Sprague's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Aloha, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sprague will head out to square off against Silverton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sprague will need to watch out since Silverton has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Aloha, they will challenge Forest Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Aloha surely won't give up without a fight.
