Baseball Recap: Florence Finishes Even with St. Johns

The Florence Gophers and the St. Johns Redskins finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 tie on Saturday.

Florence's tie gives them a new season record of 12-6-2. As for St. Johns, they moved theirs to 8-9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florence will square off against Apache Junction at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gophers are facing the Prospectors at the right time seeing as the Prospectors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Johns, they will head out to challenge Holbrook at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redskins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Roadrunners have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
