Volleyball Recap: Guardian Christian Academy Falls to Amelia Academy in First Game of Season

Guardian Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Amelia Academy Patriots on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Guardian Christian Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Amelia Academy work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 25-13.

Trista Davis had a dynamite game For Amelia Academy., getting 12 aces and one assist. Those 12 aces gave Davis a new career-high. Kennedy Hooper was another key player, getting five aces and one block.

Looking ahead, Guardian Christian Academy will welcome Tidewater Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Amelia Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Grove Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
