Volleyball Recap: Jayda Hyde and Mia Norris Secure Win for Leo

Leo posted their closest victory since September 28, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Leo was led to victory by Mia Norris and Jayda Hyde. Norris had three digs and two aces, while Hyde had four assists and three digs. That's the most digs Hyde has posted over her last 12 contests. Leah Shappell also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Leo was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 8-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Leo now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Leo will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Noble at 6:00 p.m. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they will head out on the road to take on LaVille at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
