Basketball Recap: Muchin College Prep Takes a Loss

Muchin College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Amundsen Vikings, falling 92-23. While losing is never fun, the Mountain Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 688th, while the Vikings are ranked 244th).

Amundsen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Miles Asher, who posted 18 points and four steals. Miller Avery was another key player, going 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points.

Muchin College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Amundsen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Muchin College Prep has already played their next match, a 50-47 victory against Noble Street College Prep on the 27th. As for Amundsen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-22 win against Chicago Academy on the 28th.
