Recap: Ellicott Thunderhawks vs. Strasburg Indians
This season hasn't been kind to the Ellicott Thunderhawks, who are still winless after their tenth game. They were dealt a 79-30 loss at the hands of Strasburg on Thursday. Ellicott was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-19.
Strasburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyce Bollers, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The match was Bollers' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Landen Martin was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 assists and six steals.
Ellicott's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Strasburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Ellicott will be playing in front of their home fans against Buena Vista at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Buena Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Ellicott likes a good challenge. As for Strasburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
