Recap: Los Amigos Lobos vs. San Gabriel Matadors
The Los Amigos Lobos entered their tilt with the San Gabriel Matadors with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Los Amigos walked away with a 28-20 win over San Gabriel on Friday.
Los Amigos can attribute much of their success to Pedro Hernandez, who rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Maysen Navarro was another key contributor, rushing for 38 yards and a touchdown.
Los Amigos' win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points per game. As for San Gabriel, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Los Amigos will be playing in front of their home fans against Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Gabriel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
