Basketball Game Preview: Andrew Jackson Tigers vs. Providence School Stallions

The Andrew Jackson Tigers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Providence School Stallions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Andrew Jackson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Providence School likes a good challenge.

Andrew Jackson is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Florida State University High School: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tigers blew the Seminoles out of the water with an 80-48 final score. Andrew Jackson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javion Davis out in front who shot 63% from the field on his way to 15 points and six assists. Cortell Pauling was another key player, going 6-for-10 en route to 17 points and three steals.

Andrew Jackson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Providence School posted their closest win since January 25th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dr. Phillips, sneaking past 53-50.

Providence School's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Andrew Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
