Softball Recap: Goose Creek Comes Up Short

Goose Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-1 to the Stratford Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on April 8th.

Goose Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaionna Wheatley, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Goose Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Stratford, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11-1.

Looking ahead, Goose Creek will take on Wando at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Gators surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stratford, they will square off against Berkeley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Stags will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
