Softball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland came into this matchup off a tough 20-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Socorro Warriors by a score of 14-12 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hornets have suffered since March 11, 2024.

Highland dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Socorro, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-14 win against Hot Springs on the 28th. As for Socorro, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Moriarty on the 28th.
