Basketball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

Northside lost against Lee County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northside Eagles were dealt a 47-18 loss at the hands of the Lee County Trojans. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-7.

Leading Lee County to victory were Camya Hutcherson and Taliyah Porter. Hutcherson went 9-for-14 to rack up 23 points and four steals, while Porter almost dropped a triple-double with 11 points, ten boards, and nine steals. Porter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 21 games she's played. Jada Ridley was another key player, putting up four points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Lee County, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9.

As of now, neither Northside nor Lee County have any future games scheduled.
