Softball Recap: McKinney North Comes Up Short

McKinney North managed to slip by Denison the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The McKinney North Bulldogs came up short against the Denison Yellow Jackets on Tuesday, falling 19-7. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for McKinney North and nudges their season record down to 1-11. As for Denison, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-8.

McKinney North and Denison could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. McKinney North will face off against Walnut Grove at 6:45 p.m. on March 18th down 737 places (789 vs. 52). Similarly, Denison (ranked 489th) will meet Melissa (ranked fifth) at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
