The Rolling Hills Prep Huskies will take on the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Wiseburn- Da Vinci will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Rolling Hills Prep extended their winning streak to four back in March. The Huskies' pitcher stepped up to hand Hawthorne Math & Science Academy a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Huskies have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Matthew Moyer made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rolling Hills Prep is 2-0-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Moyer was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last five games he's played.
