The Pike Road Patriots made easy work of the Montgomery Academy Eagles on Wednesday and carried off a 14-4 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.
Pike Road got a great performance from Abby Olesen as she tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, Olesen posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Ameria Anderson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Ava Milton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple.
Pike Road kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
