Softball Game Preview: Genesee Wolves vs. Durand Railroaders

The Genesee Wolves will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the Durand Railroaders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Genesee is leaving town to face Durand after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Wolves took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Morris on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the seventh straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Genesee got a massive performance out of Autumn Simpson, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Lana Allen was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Durand's offense. They lost 13-0 to Owosso on Wednesday. The Railroaders have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
