Football Recap: Damico Martin's Menacing Defense Leads King/Drew over Westchester

The King/Drew Golden Eagles strolled past the Westchester Comets with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-14. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

King/Drew didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Damico Martin. King/Drew got some further help from Kenneth Webb: he picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).

King/Drew's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Westchester, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

King/Drew wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 33-0 victory against Narbonne on the 26th. As for Westchester, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Palisades at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. The Comets will need to watch out since the Dolphins have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
