Game recap: West Jefferson defeats Grandview Heights

West Jefferson (Ohio) beat Grandview Heights (Columbus, Ohio) 35-17.

After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, the Roughriders led 21-10 at the half.

West Jefferson expanded its lead to 18 points entering the fourth quarter. WJ scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by Seth Casto.

Casto stood out for the Roughriders in the win. He threw one touchdown.

The victory will ease some of the sting of West Jefferson's close 37-33 loss to the Bobcats last season.



The loss comes after Grandview Heights defeated Whitehall-Yearling 33-23 last week.

Grandview Heights (2-2) goes up against Millersport in a Mid-State - Cardinal game matchup next week, while West Jefferson (3-1) locks horns with Fisher Catholic also in a Mid-State - Cardinal game.
