Basketball Recap: Smithson Valley Takes a Loss

Smithson Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They fell 66-56 to the Veterans Memorial Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-29 back in January.

Smithson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-25. As for Veterans Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Smithson Valley and Veterans Memorial will both be playing Boerne-Champion the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Rangers will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
