Basketball Recap: Bolsa Grande Takes a Loss

Bolsa Grande was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Saddleback Roadrunners. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Matadors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-44 on January 10th.

Christopher Trotter was his usual excellent self, going 10 of 22 en route to 26 points and five rebounds for Saddleback. Trotter's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Karstein George, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Bolsa Grande's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Saddleback, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Bolsa Grande will face off against Century at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bolsa Grande is facing Century at the right time seeing as Century is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Saddleback has already played their next contest, a 74-35 defeat against Servite on the 30th.
