Volleyball Recap: Fort Bend Kempner Comes Up Short

Fort Bend Kempner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burleson Elks.

Abbie Bridges paced Fort Bend Kempner's offense, picking up four kills. Bridges got some help from Chyanne Bates and her six assists. Olivia Algard controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Fort Bend Kempner's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Burleson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Fort Bend Kempner has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Keller Central on the 22nd. As for Burleson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Permian on the 22nd.
