There's no place like home for Lambert, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the West Forsyth Wolverines on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Longhorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Reagan Young spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Katia Castillo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. That home run was she's first for the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Yi, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Lambert hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Lambert's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. As for West Forsyth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Lambert will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Pope at 9:00 a.m. As for West Forsyth, they will head out on the road to square off against North Atlanta at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. North Atlanta will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Forsyth surely won't give up without a fight.
