It was a good run, but Licking unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Mountain Grove Panthers by a score of 76-73. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Panthers are ranked 244th).

Licking's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Mountain Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Licking has already played their next match (against Iberia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mountain Grove will welcome Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
