Volleyball Recap: Riverbank Takes a Loss

Riverbank was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Big Valley Christian Lions, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-7.

Big Valley Christian can attribute much of their success to Gage Toledo, who had 27 assists and four aces. Toledo is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season.

Riverbank's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Big Valley Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Riverbank will challenge rival Ripon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Big Valley Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Ripon Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Big Valley Christian is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Ripon Christian a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
