Washington Union and Exeter are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Panthers will challenge the Monarchs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington Union will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Washington Union turned things around against Central Valley Christian on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 14-2 win.

Teagen Moles was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Montes De Oca, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Washington Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Exeter got themselves on the board against Reedley on Tuesday, but Reedley never followed suit. They had just enough and edged out the Pirates 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Monarchs.

Exeter's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Leila Whitworth, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Washington Union's record is now 6-15. As for Exeter, their record now sits at 16-9.

Washington Union suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Exeter in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
