Van Playman Game Report: vs Morse

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Van Playman stepped things up a notch to give Mission Bay the 'W'. Playman produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

Playman's strong effort led Mission Bay over Morse and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers are 8-2 against the Tigers going back to April of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
