Basketball Recap: Jefferson West Takes a Loss

Jefferson West lost against Nemaha Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Jefferson West Tigers were beaten by the Nemaha Central Thunder 67-27.

Despite the defeat, Jefferson West saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emmie Dean posted five points.

Jefferson West has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Nemaha Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Jefferson West will square off against Rossville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Nemaha Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hiawatha at 6:00 p.m.
