Cuthbertson is 1-7 against Porter Ridge since August of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cavaliers will head out on the road to challenge the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Cuthbertson will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Cuthbertson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Marvin Ridge by a score of 31-28 on Friday.

Cuthbertson might have lost, but man, Mason Iovino was a machine: he rushed for 311 yards and three scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Iovino's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Porter Ridge and Sun Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Pirates took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Cuthbertson will need to focus on slowing down Rai'Shawn Elmore, one of several Porter Ridge players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 89 receiving yards and one TD.

Cuthbertson's record now sits at 3-7. As for Porter Ridge, their record is now 6-4.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Cuthbertson has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 166.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Porter Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 159.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
