Basketball Game Preview: Vanoss Wolves vs. Hobart Bearcats

The Vanoss Wolves will square off against the Hobart Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Vanoss comes in on 12 and Hobart on six.

Last Thursday, Vanoss took their matchup with ease, bagging a 76-14 win over Walters. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Blue Devils are ranked 399th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hobart won against Apache on Thursday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Hobart blew past Apache 67-47. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Vanoss pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Hobart, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Vanoss beat Hobart 95-87 in their previous meeting back in February of 2019. Will Vanoss repeat their success, or does Hobart have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
