Volleyball Recap: Frontenac Raiders vs. St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers
Frontenac was the 2-0 winner over St. Mary's-Colgan when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Frontenac sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 25-21.
Lucy Anderson paced Frontenac's offense, picking up 17 kills. Anderson got some help from Ellie Bloom and her 32 assists. Anderson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Frontenac's defeat dropped their record down to 20-13-1. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-14.
