Princeton Gordon leads Lake Brantley to victory over Mount Dora Christian Academy

The Lake Brantley Patriots entered their tilt with the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Lake Brantley came out on top against Mount Dora Christian Academy by a score of 55-42 on Tuesday. Given Lake Brantley's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Mount Dora Christian Academy is ranked 247th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Princeton Gordon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Landen Paquette was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.

Lake Brantley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Lake Brantley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Boone at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Eustis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Eustis' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
