Football Recap: Community Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Community Christian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Harvester Christian Academy Hawks by a score of 42-40 on Friday. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 61-46.

When it comes to explaining why Community Christian lost, don't look at Isaiah Lee. Despite the final result, he rushed for 213 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Lee's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 136 rushing yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harvester Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aubrey Young, who rushed for 154 yards and one TD, and also threw for 62 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. Jed Yarnall was another key player, rushing for 90 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Harvester Christian Academy, their record now sits at 7-4.

Community Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harvester Christian Academy, they will challenge Unity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 4.6 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
