Softball Recap: Maysville Comes Up Short

Maysville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Glenn Little Muskies. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly five runs.

Kaelynne Mitton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayven Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Maysville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for John Glenn, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Maysville is set to face off against their familiar foe Coshocton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, John Glenn will square off against rival Philo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
