The Hannibal Pirates lost against the Moberly Spartans back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hannibal received a tough blow as they fell 59-41 to the Spartans. Hannibal has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Moberly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Bivins, who scored 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Rucker, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.

Hannibal's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Moberly, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hannibal will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Owls at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Moberly, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mexico's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
