Basketball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Houston

Houston waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 59-42 victory over the Louisville Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Hilltoppers: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 65-52 defeat.

Leading Houston to victory were Trinity Hamilton and Katie Jones. Hamilton posted 29 points, while Jones scored 20 points. The game was Jones' eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Houston pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Louisville, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

Houston will challenge Caledonia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Louisville has already played their next contest (against Greenwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
