Basketball Recap: Semiahmoo (Surrey, British Columbia) Takes a Loss

Semiahmoo (Surrey, British Columbia) kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Franklin Wildcats and fell 75-35.

Franklin was led to victory by Aiden Rollins and Brandon Wasserman. Rollins went 8 of 13 on his way to 20 points and three steals, while Wasserman went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Rollins' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Sandy, who posted ten points.

The win was the fifth in a row for Franklin, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Semiahmoo (Surrey, British Columbia) wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-55 loss against Royal on the 27th. As for Franklin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-60 defeat against Great Oak on the 27th.
