Recap: Legend Titans vs. Legacy Lightning

The Legend Titans can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 82-36 win over Legacy at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-15.

Grace Stanley was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Ava Gavi, who scored 11 points along with six assists and four steals.

Legacy's loss came despite strong showings from Meghan Allshouse and Olivia Mortensen. Allshouse scored 12 points along with six assists, while Mortensen dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Mortensen is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

The win makes it two in a row for Legend and bumps their season record up to 13-1. As for Legacy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legend will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rock Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Rock Canyon is ranked tenth, while Legend is ranked third). As for Legacy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Erie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Erie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
