Soccer Game Preview: Valparaiso vs. Chesterton

Valparaiso hasn't had much luck against Chesterton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will challenge the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Valparaiso was handed a four-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Lake Central 3-2.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Chesterton made sure to put some goals up on the board against Portage on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 8-0 win. Chesterton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by four goals or more this season.

Chesterton moved to 7-8-1 with that victory, which also ended their five-match losing streak. As for Valparaiso, their record now sits at 11-2-2.

Valparaiso skirted past Chesterton 1-0 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
