Basketball Recap: Liam Goran Key Part of Team Effort in Wildcats Win

Keystone had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 win over the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs.

Keystone's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Liam Goran led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Goran is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Colt Cowling, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 20 points and three steals.

Coming up, Keystone is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Black River at 7:00 p.m. on December 5. The matchup will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Olmsted Falls, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 78-49 victory against Holy Name on the 29th.
