Baseball Game Preview: Coyle Bluejackets vs. Ripley Warriors

Coyle hasn't had much luck against Ripley recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bluejackets will head out to square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Coyle and Carney meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Bluejackets came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 8-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bluejackets have lost by exactly seven runs.

Meanwhile, Ripley entered their tilt with Clinton on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Red Tornadoes.

Coyle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Ripley, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Coyle suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Ripley in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Bluejackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
