Basketball Game Preview: North Vikings vs. Garfield Heights Bulldogs

The North Vikings will face off against the Garfield Heights Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. North is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

North is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Firestone on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North lost 63-43 to Firestone. The Vikings were down 46-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Garfield Heights' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 62-53 to Lorain.

North's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Garfield Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

North was taken down by Garfield Heights 70-30 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Garfield Heights' Journey Rencher, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 boards.
