Soccer Recap: Grayson County Takes a Loss

Grayson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Giles Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Giles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 back in March.

Grayson County's record is now 1-6. As for Giles, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grayson County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Chiswell at 5:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Giles, they will head out to take on Eastern Montgomery at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Montgomery will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Giles surely won't give up without a fight.
